The question is not whether we should get these assholes out of power, but how quickly
Statist Prick Alert
Over on RealClearPolitics, Howard Dean demonstrates his awesome knowledge of a republican form of government. I can't see a way to embed the video, so you'll have to leave the comfort of the BS Footprint cave for a few minutes... go ahead, we'll be here when you return.
Quoting Dean:
That's what governments do is redistribute. The argument is not whether they should redistribute or not, the question is how much we should redistribute...
Wrong. The most important question for those of us concerned with the future of personal liberty: How quickly can we get the statist pricks (the ones who buy into this narrative) out of office? Last November's elections were a good start, and I'm hoping that the process will continue in 2012 and beyond.
Yeah, I know Dean's not an officeholder (damn happy about that, I am) but I'm sure he speaks for many who are and cannot be quite so brazen about their true feelings.
Or, perhaps I should say, Dean screams for those who see things his way:
Edit:
My reply to Dean: Our duly-constituted government's 'job' is to protect our individual rights. Not to level playing fields. Not to redistribute wealth. 'Nuff said.
Oh, yeah, I borrowed the term Statist Pricks from Borepatch. Thanks a bunch, Borepatch, I needed it.
Edit 2:
At Borepatch's suggestion, I added a YouTube video of Dean's trademark, his political career-killing maniacal scream, captured during his (thankfully) unsuccessful Presidential campaign bid. YEAAAGH!
Can you imagine what would have happened if someone with Dean's belief system became President? Oh, wait... um... er...
